We have looked back at the historic Black church gained wisdom from its past now we look forward to reimagine the church for the 21st century. We as a community of Christ followers reject anything that doesn’t look like sound like or even feel like a liberated resurrected messiah. This is our why we stay ROOTED. Catch us monthly for worship and the word but find us being the hands feet and Christ throughout the rest of the month.

This is Church this is US. Not a building BUT the people demonstrating the love of God to a broken world through WORD DEED and POWER.

Over the past three years, we’ve had many challenges as did any other church in America. This video sums up the ways in which we have iterated innovated and even let some stuff die in our ministry. One thing remains that is the same yesterday today and forever, but we may change, how we approach intimacy with God and impact in the world. Enjoy our journey.

This was the question that lead Christian Mystic Howard Thurman on the journey to discover NOT the religion ABOUT Jesus BUT the religion OF Jesus. Join us this month for a series of Jesus and the Disinherited. Come learn how Christianity as a religion today is quite different from the movement Jesus sparked. When Jesus says the Kingdom is NOW to the poor, disenfranchised, the immigrant, caste out, he meant that there is freedom and Liberty and flourishing while you are here in earth too!
