Today in Council, we honored the life and legacy of Reverend Doctor William Saxe Epps. A pastor, leader, and tireless advocate for his community.

For nearly four decades, he faithfully served as Pastor of the historic Second Baptist Church of Los Angeles, strengthening South LA through spiritual leadership, outreach, and an unwavering commitment to justice. His decades of public service, including advancing housing justice for our city, helped shape a stronger, more compassionate Los Angeles.
