“Eyes have not seen, nor have ears heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” — 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
This passage amplifies the move of the Holy Spirit that engulfed and permeated the Joint Communion Service held Monday, June 1, 2026, in the sanctuary of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, Los Angeles.
The Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California, the Inglewood Area Ministers Association, and the Baptist Ministers Fellowship of Los Angeles and Southern California gathered as one body of believers, united in faith, fellowship, and purpose.
From the very start, every moment was Spirit‑filled as hearts worshiped together in harmony, love, and unity. This was not merely a service; it was a manifestation of divine promise, a glimpse of the unseen blessings prepared for those who love Him.
To my colleagues in Christ, Dr. W. Keith Woods, President of the Baptist Ministers Fellowship of Los Angeles and Southern California, and Dr. Warren G. Henderson, President of the Inglewood Area Ministers Association, your presence and participation were pivotal.
Together with our respective conference members, we welcomed the Holy Ghost, whose power touched and moved throughout the Joint Communion Service, illuminating God’s undeniable presence and affirming His call to unity among pastors, preachers, laypersons, and the saints.
My reflections, along with those of Dr. Woods, Dr. Henderson, and Joint Communion Service participants will appear in our forthcoming BMCLA Magazine. However, at this time I express heartfelt gratitude to all who were in attendance at this historic gathering. To our officers, members, and friends, we offer our sincere appreciation.
As I prepare to close this communication, I do so recognizing several members of my cabinet and those who serve the Baptist Ministers Conference in various capacities: Bishop Sylvester Washington, Vice President‑At‑Large; Rev. Dr. Ryan B. Small, First Vice President; Rev. Dr. Carl Washington, Second Vice President; our gifted musicians and devotional team; and our dedicated digital media team. Your contribution and leadership remain significant.
Finally, the steps and landing at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church are where history happened. Following the Joint Communion Service, some of Southern California’s leading pastors and preachers representing the three conferences were photographed together for the first time in history.
To God be the Glory for the things He has done!
In His Service, I am,
Rev. Dr. Donald R. Robinson, President Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern (BMC)
