In the words of the student speakers, "it's a masterpiece!" Last Friday we celebrated the ribbon-cutting for Esperanza Elementary School's new green schoolyard. The renovated space replaces pavement with welcoming lawns, trees, gardens and spots where students can play, learn and gather. Thanks to everyone at WPC who worked tirelessly for years — a dream realized for Esperanza Elementary.

After worship, head over to Hoffman Hall to donate blood at the American Red Cross Blood Drive! Don't forget to drink water, have breakfast, and bring your id. You can still give even if you didn't register!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Esperanza Elementary School Back-to-School Drive this year! The students, families, and school staff are truly grateful.

Want to celebrate our mission partner even more? Esperanza Elementary will celebrate the completion of their new Green Schoolyard with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Friday from 8:30–10:30am at 680 Little St, Los Angeles, CA 90017. The revamped schoolyard replaces pavement with inviting green spaces, trees, gardens, and areas for students to play, learn, and gather. Our WPC community is welcome to attend, but parking is limited to street parking.
