Long Beach is a city which is filled with many layers of people, cultures & backgrounds. With that said, it is the desire of Calvary Chapel Long Beach that we “build up” the Saints within the city, to teach them the Word of God so that they may be lights to a dark & lonely world. (Matthew 5:14)
It is also our desire that we reach out to our city, county, state & world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Only a true relationship with Jesus can change the world for good. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 8:28)
Calvary Chapel Long Beach will always simply speak the truth to all who will listen & LOVE as many people as we possibly can.

Acts 2:40 (NKJV)
“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation.’”

Meaning: Peter was urging the people to repent, turn to Jesus Christ, and receive salvation. He warned them not to follow the sinful ways of the generation around them, but to separate themselves from unbelief and disobedience to God.

Context: On the Day of Pentecost, Peter preached about Jesus' death and resurrection. When the people asked what they should do, Peter told them to repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38). Verse 40 emphasizes the urgency of responding to God's message and being saved.

Key lesson: We are called to stand firm in God's truth, even when the world around us turns away from Him.
