⛪ THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
📖 Matthew 16:13–19
There’s a big difference between saying:
“I GOT to go to church.”
and
“I GET to go to church.”
Church was never meant to be something we simply attend once a week. Jesus said, “Upon this rock I will build My church.”
We are the living stones. 🪨
Together, we become His spiritual house.
So stop being content with just having a good Sunday service.
GO BE A SERVANT. GO LIVE THE MISSION.
Jesus calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Maybe the question isn’t, “Who is my neighbor?” R the question is:
“Will I love the people God places in front of me?”
Think of it like checkers. When a piece reaches the other side, it gets crowned. 👑 It receives new authority and new abilities—but there’s an opponent trying to keep it from getting there.
The enemy would love to keep us from the places God is calling us.
A healthy church helps people get “crowned”—to grow, love, serve and lead, walking fully in their calling.
And when we are crowned in Christ, we love differently. We serve differently. We live differently.
Jesus has given His church the keys to the Kingdom. 🔑
Keys represent ACCESS.
We don’t need the keys of popularity, approval, entertainment or pleasing the crowd. Those keys cannot unlock Kingdom doors.
We need the keys of HEAVEN.
The Church is meant to be an embassy of Heaven on Earth, and we are His ambassadors.
God is calling us to bring His Kingdom into the chaos around us—to our homes, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods and communities.
We’ve forgotten whose Church this is.
It belongs to JESUS.
So don’t leave church simply satisfied.
Leave church SENT.
The Producer is God.
The Director is the Holy Spirit.
The Superstar is Jesus. ✝️
And when we begin operating with the Kingdom keys God has given us, our neighbors won’t just hear about Jesus…
They’ll see His Kingdom at work through us.
🔥 Church, let’s build. Let’s serve. Let’s GO.
