Join us for our Ash Wednesday worship service at 6:30pm tonight!

"Remember that you are dust... and to dust you shall return."
These words are often offered during Ash Wednesday worship services.

The words are not meant to sound threatening or foreboding. Instead they remind us that we are not God, but God's good creation. As we receive the ashes on Ash Wednesday, we acknowledge our mortality, our dependence on God and our need for renewal. It is a call to live fully, love boldly and turn our hearts toward God’s grace.

Lent invites us into a season of reflection, repentance and renewal. How is God calling you to grow in grace in this season?

Laity Sunday reminds us that ministry isn’t just the work of pastors, ministers, and other clergy; it’s the shared calling of all God’s people. Each of us is invited to grow in grace, connect with others, and reflect the saving love of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.

It is truly difficult to find the words to express all that Jane Carter meant to the people of Mayville United Methodist Church. There certainly isn't enough space here to enumerate the ways she bettered our church and community. We are pleased to help Jane's family celebrate such a beautiful woman and a life well lived. They will be holding a service at our church on Saturday, November 8th at 11am and invite all who knew Jane to attend.
