Good food, a slower day, and time with your people 💚

Labor Day is a good reminder to slow down, rest, and enjoy the people God has placed around us.

We were made for community, for conversations around the table, for laughter, and for doing life together.

However you’re spending today, we hope you find a little time to rest and enjoy the people around you.

Our memory verse is Ephesians 6:17–18, a reminder to make prayer part of the way we walk with Jesus every day.

Come back to these verses throughout the week. Read them, spend some time in prayer, and then put it into practice at Prayer Night this Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Next Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 PM, we’re setting aside a night to slow down, spend time with Jesus, pray for one another, and seek God together.

As we walk through Rooted together, we’re building rhythms that help us stay connected to Jesus throughout the week 🌱

One of those rhythms is spending time in God’s Word and carrying His truth with us.

Romans 8:1–2 is our Rooted memory verse for this part of the study and such a good reminder of the freedom we have in Jesus.

Whether you’re still working through this week or getting ready to move into the next, take some time to come back to these verses. Read them again, think about what they mean, and let this truth stay with you: in Jesus, there is freedom 💚

Sometimes the best conversations start with a simple question 💚

What do you think God is like? What do you think makes God smile? When do you feel closest to God? And if you could ask God one question, what would it be?

We shared this video Sunday as we began our Rooted series, and we loved hearing how our Orchard Kids answered these questions in their own words.

As we walk through Rooted together, our hope is that all of us, from our kids to our adults, will keep asking questions, growing deeper in our faith, and becoming more rooted in who God is 🌱
