From the pastors desk, there is so much to unpack in John 10 we would need three Sundays just to scratch the surface, but this week we will apply John 10 to our lives today.

John 10:1-5
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.””

This week we will be in John 10 as we continue our series on the 7 “I AM” statements Jesus left us. Jesus used language that was easy for common folks to understand in that time period and geographical area. Sheep were a big part of the culture, and shepherding was common knowledge for a lot of common folks. We can actually learn a lot about people and learn a lot about ourselves by watching a flock of sheep, we can learn even more about who Jesus is from a flocks shepherd. We are getting closer to the 2026 Boat Reggatta
And Covenant will be there serving the community by providing an affordable game option for children, and our ministry space. We are beginning to get the prize bags ready, with over 600 prizes. We are still in need of some more helpers, mostly for the game side of the event all weekend long Labor Day weekend. Reach out if you are interested in helping. We promise you will be blessed during this time of ministry.
