On Wednesday, April 23, the Lock Haven's Women's Connection will enjoy meeting again at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal Street, Allison Township beginning at 11:50 AM. Elva Stover will be our featured guest and will demonstrate how to make donuts, right there during our luncheon. And what's more ... we will be eating the donuts she makes for our luncheon dessert! (I'm seriously craving that donut just thinking about it!) Another treat at this luncheon will be the lovely tunes provided by soloist Beth Young. The guest speaker of the day, Ginny Turner from Edinburg, NY, will enlighten us regarding "The Donut-sized Hole in Her Heart."

Because I am in California right now visiting my son's family and will be traveling home by train where there is often NO internet or even cell phone access, I CANNOT take email reservations for this luncheon. February's Luncheon did not disappoint . Julie Henning is one of the most personable folks you will ever meet. She makes a point to walk the entire room trying to greet and meet those in attendance. "The Lion's Share" because our Feature Guest will be Keith Shaw from the Howard Area Lion's Club. He will make us aware of the club's extensive philanthropic projects, many of which are offered for free. Much to our delight, Elaine Barth, well loved soloist, will provide our musical entertainment. Our speaker, Julie Henning, will share her amazing story of being rescued from a wretched childhood in an Asian country and the unbelievable way in which she has become an American. She is a fascinating and dramatic speaker of the highest caliber.
