LCMS Pastoral Formation Committee Regional Listening Sessions

Have questions about how the LCMS is forming faithful pastors to meet the current and future demands of the holy ministry? Anthony previously served as a vicar for the congregation and has family ties at Canaan, as his father, David, was the founding pastor. School Spotlight: Our Savior Lutheran School, Livermore

Our Savior Lutheran School is a vital ministry of Our Savior Lutheran Ministries, which has served the Livermore community since 1954. The school started over 60 years ago as a preschool, then an elementary school and now has more than 425 students in elementary (K-8), 101 in preschool, and a staff of 51. The school is blessed with strong leadership: Pastor Joe Robb (since 2024), preschool director Brittani Young (since 2022), and principal Julie Knight (serving since 2013 and principal since 2018). Throughout the years, the ministry of the preschool and school have touched the lives of countless children and their families with the message of God’s love and grace. Through times of struggle and times of growth, the Lord has blessed the work and ministry of Our Savior Lutheran School!

Our Savior, Aiea, Hosts Spiritual First Aid Workshop

On February 27 and 28, Our Savior, Aiea hosted the first Spiritual First Aid workshop in the CNH District. Pastor Chris Singer from Lutheran Church Charities, and his wife, Jeanette, led the two-day workshop. Thirteen people from Our Savior, Aiea, one from Trinity, Wahiawa and one from Good Shepherd, Honolulu learned Christ-centered skills to bring comfort, emotional support and mental health assistance to individuals and communities impacted by disasters and trauma.

CNH Five Two Summit Builds for the Future

The Bay Area CNH FiveTwo Summit was a wonderful reminder of why collaborative leadership matters. Over 20 congregations and 115 leaders gathered in one room on Saturday with a shared purpose: to think boldly about the future of ministry and to discern how each congregation can faithfully proclaim the Gospel in its own corner of the world.

The conversations were honest. The ideas were creative. The prayers were sincere.

Register for the CNH District Spring In-Service by March 10!

All CNH District educators are invited to gather for our annual Spring In-Service. This day is an opportunity to step away from the usual routine, spend time with fellow educators, and be encouraged in the work God has given us.

Our keynote speaker for this year’s In-Service is Andrew McPeak, an author, researcher, and expert on emerging generations who works with Growing Leaders and the Maxwell Leadership Foundation. Andrew has spent more than a decade helping educators and leaders understand the challenges facing today’s students and equipping them with practical tools for real-life success.

We hope you’ll plan to join us for a day of encouragement, connection, and practical insight for the work we share.
