Today is heavy, and the grief we feel is pertinent. May we recognize the humanity in one another by praying in unison, asking as we do in every situation: what does love require?

• Pray for comfort for those who have lost their homes. May they feel God’s presence and the support of the Church.
• Pray for the safety of all the first responders working tirelessly to protect lives and property.
• Pray tor the evacuation centers and those providing care to victims
• Pray for calmer winds and quick containment of the fires.

The 4th and final day of our Four Days of Thankfulness Guide!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34

Prayer:
Lord, I give you thanks. You are so good to me! Your love for me is so great and infinite. For that alone, I am grateful. You are always working things for my good, even when I can’t see it or don’t understand what’s going on around me. Help me to rest in the fact that you are God and I am not. You are my Creator and know me better than I know myself. Thank you for your love, your mercy, and your grace. Thank you for your provision. Thank you for family, friends, and the people I get to do life with.

Day 3 of our Four Days of Thankfulness Guide!

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11

Prayer:
I pray for your blessing over my life. Guide me in a way to be fruitful so that I may be generous with others in any way that I can. Help me understand that my generosity is an act of thankfulness to you, Lord. You’ve given me so much, and this is one way I can give to others. Let me be your hands and feet here on earth. Help me to see the needs around me; use me to meet them in a way so that you may be glorified. Nothing we have is truly ours, anyway. We are only stewards of it here on earth, managing it for you and your eternal purposes.
