Lighthouse Fellowship BRINGING GOD'S WORD TO LIGHT, ONE VERSE AT A TIME.

Lighthouse Fellowship is a non-denominational church that teaches God's Word, verse by verse, from Genesis to Revelation, and how the Bible's teachings apply to our lives. If you're looking for a church where the word of God is taught and the Lord is worshiped, bring your bible and join us as we celebrate Jesus with contemporary praise and worship in a casual atmosphere.

Good morning friends. Something to ponder on today: Are you a true worshiper? Immediately we all want to say yes to that—but do we really go through our day start to finish in a worshiping attitude? So many believe that singing some songs is worship. It is a form of worship but true worship is a lifestyle. It’s living in fear (holy reverence) of God. It’s being mindful and obedient to His commandments, it’s being generous and helpful to others. About nine or ten years ago I heard a very learned pastor say this, “We call it a worship service and what do we not do? Worship!” True worship is living in complete submission to God’s authority and having a close personal relationship with Him so that we are Spirit filled and allow ourselves to be Spirit led. Walking with Jesus seeking His will not our own. Some try to make worship a really deep subject but it’s really quite simple to understand. The difficulty comes learning to implement it and make it our lifestyle. That takes prayer, Bible study, commitment, and effort! So I’m leaving this question for you to decide for yourself, Are you a true worshiper or just another convert? Glory to God and be blessed friends.

Good morning friends. These two verses lay it out plain and simple for us. The question of the day is: Are we willing to put in the time and effort to move past the milk to solid food? Growth in our spiritual health, developing a closer relationship with the Lord, doesn’t happen by osmosis. We’re not gonna know Him better or know His Word better if we only put our Bible under our pillow and sleep on it. Look at the difference between the two here. A babe is unskilled in the word of righteousness. Do you want this to describe you? On the other hand, those who have grown to solid food can discern both good and evil. This is the group I want to be in. How do so many self proclaimed Christians get so lost in the world and pulled away from truth into the deceptive darkness? They stay in the milk stage and aren’t developed enough yet to discern truth, good and evil. Friends, again this is extremely clear. The choice is yours and yours alone. Milk or solid food? If you’re choosing solid food then today is the day to roll up your sleeves and start studying the Word and applying it in your life. In these times being able to discern good and evil is vital because that ol devil wants to sound and look like Jesus but with a twist to draw us away from the truth. Don’t you want to be able to recognize the truth versus the twisted truth? Today let’s put the milk sippy cup down and pick up our fork and steak knife! Glory to God and be blessed friends.

Good morning friends. How many people do we know that are very much like this crippled man? Not the physical ailment but the excuse for everything ailment. This man had been crippled for years and now he’s face to face with the Healer of all healers. It seems the answer would be a definite and quick “Yes”. Instead of saying that he wanted to be healed he gave an excuse for why he wasn’t already. Basically it was, “I can’t move fast enough to beat others into the water and my friends have let me down by not being here to help me.” We all have plenty of excuses for our sins and mistakes in life and yet we have been born again to live for the ultimate Healer. By His death, resurrection, and ascension Jesus has healed our souls forever and in so doing He took away all the excuses. If we truly know Him and we have a Bible to read then we have no excuse for not growing and progressing in our walk with Him daily. When you look in the mirror today, do you see an excuse maker or a believer living in full faith and trust in the One who healed your soul? It’s a great day to decide who you’re really looking at! Glory to God and be blessed friends.

Good morning friends. I’m certain everyone reading this feels just as Peter did. We believe and know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. It’s one thing to believe it internally, possess it as head knowledge. But it’s an entirely different realm when we live it out and develop a true intimate relationship with Him. I heard a strong man of God say this on the radio yesterday and the Lord immediately told me to share it with y’all concerning relationship with Christ. The hard truth is that we’re either growing our relationship with Jesus or we are sliding down the slope away from Him. There is no in between, absolutely no static state where we just stay where we are. We are either hungering and thirsting for more, growing to know Him better day by day—OR—we’re falling farther away from Him. A true relationship with someone else takes time spent with that person, getting to really know them. Are you spending ample, quality time with Jesus in prayer, reading your Bible to let Him speak to you through His word teaching you His ways? I hope we all are, but if you self evaluate today and find yourself slipping down the slope, God is waiting for you to repent and start climbing back to Him. His arms are open and His face is smiling as you sincerely seek Him with all that you are and not just have a little head knowledge. Remember, you can’t stay where you are. So today are you gonna get closer to Christ or slip farther away? It’s your choice! Glory to God and be blessed friends.

Good morning friends. These are words written in red spoken by Jesus. Can we honestly say that our lives fit into these words by how we live day to day? Now of course, we are not the judge of others as Jesus is, but do we fully realize that we can do nothing on our own? Are we righteous because we seek our Father’s will instead of our own? Yes, we are righteous because Jesus paid our price with His life and rose again—not because we are so good. But the question remains for myself and for you—Do we seek our Father’s will instead of our own? We must guard against getting stuck on the me, me, me train. It’s not going to be easy as we were born human with selfish desires and a built in self preservation instinct. Our flesh is weak and that’s why God poured out His Holy Spirit to dwell in us believers. Are we going to call on Him for strength to stand against our selfishness or are we only going to acknowledge Him when the wheels are falling off our wagon and we want help? Our relationship with the Holy Spirit should be ongoing all day every day. That’s how we seek God’s will rather than our own! Glory to God and be blessed friends.
