Proverbs 22:6, New Living translation:
“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.”
My Testimony (Part Four)
God met me in the wilderness
It was in that wilderness that I picked up something unexpected—a bass guitar. Learning to play had always been a desire of mine, but fear had held me back. Now, it became my escape—a place where my heart and mind could rest, even if just for a moment.
And in that place, God began to meet me.
Through music. Through lyrics. Through moments I didn’t even realize were sacred.
One song, in particular, became an anthem for my heart:
“Just when I ran out of road,
I met a man I didn’t know,
And He told me that I was not alone…”
I wasn’t alone.
God had never left me.
Through the patience and encouragement of Pastor Greg of my church family, I began to grow again. He taught me, challenged me, and invited me to be part of the worship team.
That step—small as it seemed—began restoring my desire to be back in church… to be back in God’s presence.
Through this journey, I became connected with Life With Christ Ministries and built meaningful relationships that helped me work through my brokenness, bitterness, and anger.
Surrender and Hope
For the first time, I was truly able to release Josiah, my son, into God’s hands.
Not with fear… but with trust.
I continue to pray daily that God will pursue him, surround him with the right people, and draw him back to Himself.
And in the waiting, I have learned this:
I will love the people God places in front of me. I will stay rooted in His Word. I will keep showing up.
Today, I am walking in a renewed relationship with Christ—through daily Bible reading, study, worship, and community.
My story is not one of perfection.
It is a story of loss, of brokenness, of wandering…
But most importantly—
It is a story of a God who never let me go.
