The first three days of True North VBS have been filled with fun, friendship, and discovering how we can trust Jesus in every circumstance. Along the way, our campers have met Bible Buddy Ponder the Otter, learned from Camp Leader Clay and Scout Rivers, and explored God’s Word as our guidebook for life.
On Monday, we kicked off the week by learning that we can trust Jesus even when we wonder. Through Bible stories, games, experiments, and activities, we discovered that God welcomes our questions and wants us to bring them to Him. We were reminded that God is our True North, faithfully guiding us wherever we go.
On Tuesday, our focus shifted to trusting Jesus when we feel alone. Through lessons from the Gospel of Matthew, we learned that Jesus cares deeply about our worries and burdens and wants to help carry them. We also discovered the important role that friends play in encouraging and supporting one another.
Wednesday’s lessons taught us that we can trust Jesus even when we feel powerless. Using the Bible as our guide, we explored how God provides strength when our own strength runs out. Throughout the week, campers have also been keeping track of “God Sightings”—special moments where they’ve seen God at work in themselves, others, and the world around them.
We are grateful for all the campers, volunteers, and families who have made these first three days so special. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of our True North adventure!
