PRAYING THE PSALMS
Beginning THIS MONDAY (first day of semester) and every Monday that school is in session. We will gather at 7:30am in the Miller Chapel for 20 minutes of reading, reflecting, and praying over a new psalm every week. A great day to start the day!
CAMPUS WORSHIP
Beginning this WEDNESDAY (first of semester) and every Wednesday that school is in session. We will meet at 7pm at the Old Main amphitheater (green area, east side of Old Main) for singing, praying, and a message. Every week this semester will be inspired by a story from the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis. Worship will begin to be broadcasted over zoom, https://zoom.us/j/93374092900?pwd=WHFra0xWOUdPbW1RSnRYQXdiTzBEUT09, in September.
THE AWAKENED LIFE
From the authors, “This is 8-week, small group resource, is designed to teach psychosocial skills and help students build resiliency and foster mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being using mindfulness techniques. The Awakened Life can help students learn and cultivate spiritual practices that will lead to abundant living despite the anxieties and pressures of college life.” This spiritual life study will be offered over zoom after Labor Day.
BOOK STUDY: BETWEEN THE WORLD AND ME
The book study this semester will be Ta-Nehisi Coates Between the World and Me. We will gather over zoom for three Wednesdays in October during the noon hour to discuss this book and its implications in our life as individuals and community. For faculty and staff only.
