Inviting full participation in the Eucharist and the sacramental life of the parish. Discipleship activities include increased attendance at the Holy Mass, participation in the sacraments, adoration and reconciliation. Stewardship activities include participation in parish activities, annual stewardship renewal, contribution of financial resource

s, efficient parish operations and service to the poor. EVANGELIZATION
Welcoming our Catholic and non-Catholic brothers and sisters to our parish family. Evangelization activities include outreach to new parishioners and non-practicing Catholics; support of Catholic education through our schools, RCIA and CCD; and encouragement of young people to consider a religious vocation. Saturday: 5:30pm
Sunday: 7:30am, 9:00am, 11:00am, 5:00pm Daily: 6:30am - (M-F) and 8:15am (M-Sat.) Holy Days: Vigil Mass at 5:30pm, 6:30am, 8:15am and 6:00pm (except Christmas and New Years)

CONFESSION TIMES:
15 minutes before all weekday Masses
Saturday: 4:00pm - 5:20pm and 6:30pm - 7:00pm
Thursday before First Friday: 7:30pm to 8:00pm

Interested in learning more about the Catholic Church? Join us for our OCIA class, beginning Wednesday, August 26 at 7:00 pm in the school library. This class is for those considering joining the Catholic Church, who have questions about the Catholic faith, who need to complete Confirmation or other sacraments, or just want to refresh their knowledge of the Catholic faith. Open adoration hours as of August 1, 2026:

Thank you to all who have had an adoration hour for many years, or who have recently promised to fill one.

Early morning and weekend hours are hard to fill due to all the obligations people have, and the desire to sleep! BUT—can you think outside the box to help fill those hours? Could your Bible study, bowling league, basketball team, etc. pledge to fill the hour, and rotate through the group? High school students or young adults—could you commit with 2-3 other friends to fill one of the evening hours on Saturday? Think about what you can do to share the sacrifice of having a holy hour. Once you have pledged to fill an hour, for help finding a substitute, call or text 402-316-9269, email [email protected], or go to the St. Joseph Adoration Facebook group to post your hour. If you are unable to commit to a weekly hour, go to any of the contact avenues listed above to let us know you're available to substitute and your availability so you can see requests and help fill them. 24-hour Adoration has been such a blessing to our parish—let’s work hard to keep our adoration chapel filled at all times! The final Fire 'n' Ice is tonight at 8:00 pm! Join us at St Joseph Church (1940 S. 77th St, Lincoln) for DQ and hear from our featured speaker, local weatherman Bill Rentschler! We'll also find out which ice cream place ranks #1 this summer.

Bill is Lincoln through and through. Born and raised here, he’s a Pius X alum and a University of Nebraska graduate, where he majored in Meteorology. In 2022, Bill became 10/11’s first Digital News Executive Producer, leading strategy and content for 1011 NOW’s streaming platforms. When he’s not forecasting or tracking severe weather, Bill is usually at home causing trouble with his two kids, Liam and Jamie, and their two dogs, Snickers and Rory. When he gets a free afternoon, you’ll likely find him trying to beat former Chief Meteorologist Ken Siemek on the golf course.

Fire 'n' Ice #4 is tonight at 8:00 pm! We'll meet at Yogurtini (3900 Old Cheney Rd, #205, Lincoln, NE 68516) to hear from featured speaker Aaron Vrbka.

Aaron Vrbka is the Jr. High English teacher at Cathedral of the Risen Christ and graduated from Pius X in 2020. He just finished serving two years as a missionary with The Culture Project International where he gave talks to thousands of students about The Theology of the Body and what it means to live fully alive. Apart from teaching and missionary work, Aaron also loves spending time outdoors, being around cats, rock climbing, and theater. His confirmation saint is Saint Luke!
