Paul wrote his final words from a cold, dark prison cell -- not with regret, but with confidence: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7) What a powerful reminder that no matter our circumstances, the word of God is never bound.

This week's message challenged us to stand firm without shame, stay rooted in Scripture, serve where God has placed us, and finish faithfully. Whether you are just beginning your walk with Christ or have followed Him for decades, the call is the same -- press on toward the goal (Philippians 3:13-14).

What drives a person to take the gospel to the ends of the earth? This Sunday we traced the missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul through Acts 13-18, watching an acorn grow into a mighty oak of ministry that stretched across the known world.

Paul's secret was simple and profound. As he wrote in Galatians 2:20, the Christian life is one of dying to self, being indwelt by Christ, and living in total dependence on Him. The same faith that saves us is the faith that sustains us every single day.

From the Roman Road in Romans 3:23 and 6:23 to the promise of Christ's return in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Paul's message never wavered: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. That invitation stands open today.

Join us as we continue our walk through the Bible. There is always more ground to cover and always more regions beyond where the gospel needs to go.

This Sunday, we explored one of the most powerful stories in Scripture — two discouraged disciples walking away from Jerusalem on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24). They had all the right information but came to the wrong conclusion. Sound familiar?

Jesus pursued them anyway. He opened the Scriptures, traced the thread of redemption from Genesis to the cross, and set their hearts on fire. The cross was not the end of God's plan — it was the center of it.

Here is the truth that changes everything: when you are most discouraged, Christ is often the closest. He pursued those disciples while they were walking away, and He pursues you too. The gospel changed their direction before it changed their destination. It can do the same for you.

If you have never responded to Jesus as Lord and Savior, today is the day. He is risen — and that changes everything.
