Skip the brown bag or drive thru food! Join the United Women of Faith at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, Sept. 14, for their annual Salad Luncheon. Enjoy a variety of salads of all types—veggies, fruits, pasta and more—and, of course, desserts too! (If your lunch hour is short, we will provide a take-out box for you!) First United Methodist Church is excited to offer our Wednesday night youth ministries for children 4-year-olds to high school seniors!We believe that children are a vital part of church life, and we want them to be actively involved in worship, reading the Bible, prayer, serving others, giving and sharing God’s heart for the poor and learning about Jesus! We encourage the children to invite a friend or two to join their group—membership in the church is never required and everyone is welcome!

Welcome Day for Shining Star Preschool is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the preschool, located in the First United Methodist Church, 201 E 8th Street.
The first day of preschool for the Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes is Wednesday, September 9. The first day for the Tuesday-Thursday class is Thursday, September 10.
We look forward to seeing you as we begin a new preschool year together!

Shining Star Preschool has a few spots left for our Monday-Wednesday-Friday afternoon class for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This class meets from 12:30-3 p.m. and is designed for 4-5 year olds and kindergarten-bound children.
