This past Sunday, Pastoral Intern Chris Morgan challenged us to look at the story of the Good Samaritan with fresh eyes and consider what it truly means to love our neighbors. We were reminded that faith is more than knowing Scripture—it’s putting God’s love into action through our everyday choices. Simple acts of kindness and a willingness to step outside our comfort zones can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.

What an amazing Go Week we had! Over 500 of you answered the call to serve and put flesh on your faith. Working with local missions, repairing homes, building wheelchair ramps, changing oil for single moms, serving at shelters and centers and packaging 50,000 meals for rise against hunger.

Sunday’s worship service was a powerful time of praise, fellowship and spiritual growth as Pastor Trevor Miller wrapped up our Storyteller sermon series with the parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke. He reminded us that knowing God’s Word is not enough; we must put our faith into action by showing compassion, mercy and love to others. Through the example of the Good Samaritan, we were challenged to look beyond differences, make room for others and see people as individuals to love rather than problems to avoid.

Who is my neighbor? A man asked Jesus that question, and Jesus answered with a story about a wounded traveler, two people who walked past and a Samaritan who stopped to help. This Sunday is the final message in our Storyteller series, and we'll look at what it means to stop sorting people by who is convenient, comfortable or like us. Love isn't just something we feel. On Sunday Pastor Stephen Fitch explored Jesus’ parable of the mustard seed and reminded us that God can use the gifts, talents and everyday opportunities we have to bring hope to a world in need. We don’t have to create the outcome. We simply need to plant the seeds and trust God to make them grow.

This past Sunday Pastor Michael Turner shared a powerful message from Matthew, reminding us that God’s kingdom often grows through small acts of faithfulness. Like a mustard seed or a little yeast, our seemingly insignificant contributions can make a lasting impact when placed in God’s hands. Every act of service matters, every person has a part to play and God can use the small things to accomplish great things!
