We’re sending a team to Scotland again this summer, and this Sunday we’ll have the chance to hear more about their work, receive prayer card reminders, and give towards the trip! Baked good items will be available for purchase before the service (and after, if there are any left!). Donations can be made with cash or PayPal.

This week we continue our sermon series by covering the sixth fruit of the Spirit known as goodness. Jesus knew how vital it was for Christians to exhibit this fruit when he said the following in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

You have probably heard it said many times in church that we should aspire to be bright lights in a dark world. Did you know that the word translated “good” here is the Greek word kalos, which can mean beautiful or morally upright? Then it becomes clear that the good we seek to do to those around us has the potential to draw others to Christ and bring glory to God! We will hear more of the specifics of how this works from our guest preacher this week, Noah Despinasse, pastoral resident at Cola Pres, who is planning and praying about planting a church in Eau Claire downtown. Pray for this important work and find Noah on Sunday so he can tell you all about how God is beginning to bring these plans into fruition.

There will also be a Bake Sale happening in the Cafe at Watershed on Sunday to benefit the Scotland Missions Trip. Consider a donation towards the team headed to Scotland June 19-29th. They will share during the service about the good work the Lord has given the team to do. See you Sunday, Watershed!

This morning we had the joy of baptizing Maggie. Maggie recently went through our Kids Being & Belonging Classes. Afterwards, she and her parents talked with Nate about her understanding of the gospel and her profession of faith. We thank God that He has drawn Maggie to Himself!
