“This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.”
‭‭II John‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Love is far more than a feeling or a spoken confession—it is demonstrated through a life of obedience to God. John reminds us that genuine love and God’s commandments are inseparable; when we truly love the Lord, we desire to walk in His ways.

“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Paul had received extraordinary insight and encounters with the Lord, he also faced persistent opposition that kept him humble and reliant on divine grace. The thorn was not a gift from God to harm him, but a “messenger of Satan” that God allowed and ultimately used to deepen Paul’s trust in Him. Often, the struggles we wish would disappear become the very places where God teaches us humility, perseverance, and complete reliance on His strength.

“I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints—”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
I want to challenge you to develop a holy appetite for the Word of God—one that grows into a deep and constant desire. That may seem unlikely if your interest in Scripture is small right now, but it can happen. I’ve seen it in my own life and in the lives of countless believers.
It begins with a decision. Choose to give yourself to God’s Word. Set aside time to read it, meditate on it, and let it shape your thoughts. As you consistently invest your attention in Scripture, your hunger for it will increase. What starts as a discipline will become a delight. Before long, the Word of God will fill your heart, renew your mind, and influence the way you think, speak, and live.

“And Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness throughout all the land of Egypt for three days… But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings” (Exodus 10:22-23).

Satan has long promoted a lie—that God’s people must expect the same darkness, defeat, fear, poverty, and failure that overwhelm the world around them. Sadly, many have believed that rumor. But God’s Word tells a different story. When darkness covered Egypt, the covenant people of God still had light in their homes. In the same way, those who abide in Christ are not appointed to live under the dominion of the world’s darkness. Psalm 91:10 declares that no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. While challenges may arise, God’s presence, protection, and provision set His people apart. Refuse the enemy’s lie and stand firmly on God’s promises, knowing that His light still shines in the midst of a dark world.

““Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭18‬ NKJV‬‬
Jesus teaches the Believer is entrusted with the responsibility of binding and loosing according to God’s will, meaning they are to uphold and apply heaven’s truth on earth.

Mediation verse

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Through our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, the old life of sin is left behind and we are empowered to walk each day in the transforming power and newness of His resurrected life.
