Good morning, welcome to Daily Moring Prayer from St Peter’s in Lewes, DE. Today is Friday, May 29, 2026, the Friday after Pentecost. There are no feasts today on the Episcopal Church’s calendar but it is one of the Embers Days that occur after the Feast of Pentecost.

We will be using an adapted version of Moring Prayer, Rite II from The Book of Common Prayer 1979 beginning on page 80. You can download a copy of The Book of Common Prayer for free from the Episcopal Church’s website. I have put the link in the description.

My name is Sean Scheller. Please remember to click on the “like” icon below. Today is Friday, May 22, 2026, the Friday after the Seventh Sunday of Easter. The Episcopal Church remembers today Helena of Constantinople, the Protector of the Holy Places, a fourth century Roman empress.

It is also the last few days of The Great 50 Days of Easter and we are in the 8th day of the novena that began on Ascension Day as we prepare for the Feast of Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit this Sunday.
