This Sunday we will gather to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and look intently into His Word together! In Genesis 48, Joseph is summoned to his father's side since he is sick and nearing the end of his life. Joseph brings his sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, before their grandfather to receive his blessing. This family moment proves to be a powerful testimony of how God's providence stands behind future legacy and blessing. Jacob looks back on God's faithfulness throughout his life and looks forward with confidence to what God will do in the generations to come. When Jacob deliberately places his right hand on Ephraim, the younger son, rather than Manasseh, he reminds us that God's purposes are not determined by human expectations or earthly status. God is free to accomplish His gracious purposes according to His sovereign will. This chapter also calls us to live by faith—not merely for what God is doing in our own lifetime, but with confidence that God is faithfully working in the generations that will follow us. Ultimately, the blessing Jacob gives points forward to the greater blessing fulfilled in Jesus Christ, through whom God's covenant promises extend to His people.

As you look forward to worshipping with the body of Christ on Sunday, take time to read the Scriptures intentionally ahead of time. Ask God to prepare your heart to receive His Word as well as give you the grace to walk in obedience to it as it is proclaimed.

This Sunday we will gather to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and look intently into His Word together! This will be our second Missions Focus Sunday of the year, where we will consider how we are to declare God's glory among the nations. We will have a combined Sunday School (9:00am-10:00am) for all adults, teens and 4th-6th grade students. During the Sunday School hour, Katie Haskell will give an update on her ministry in South Africa over the past three years. There will also be time to ask Katie questions about her ministry. Please make plans to attend!

In the main service, we will hear God's Word preached from Jim Shoberg, who is the Ministry Director for Western Europe at Avant Ministries. He and his wife Debbie have also served as missionaries in Ecuador and France. Jim will be preaching from Psalm 96.

As you look forward to worshipping with the body of Christ on Sunday, take time to read the Scriptures intentionally ahead of time. Ask God to prepare your heart to receive His Word as well as give you the grace to walk in obedience to it as it is proclaimed.

I was recently in the Isle of Harris at a conference, and there was a time of prayer at the start of the day. An older man began his prayer by saying, “Today, Lord, is a day that has been given by You, a morning which we will never have again, a day which we will not be able to redeem.” I was ....
