I relate to this woman so much. finding identity in all the wrong places. But what is so crazy to me about this story is after meeting Jesus. Being a WOMAN, first to know the Messiah, she doesn’t stray away from the awkward truth of her past, she runs back to it to share the revelation that she can embrace a forever drink of LIVING WATER.
During C0vId, I was forced home from college. and this really forced me into some healing. I left Arkansas for Tennessee & wasn’t really looking back. But now, with the world shutting down I had to look at myself and my past. So I confronted it, stepped into some healing. I went on a prayer drive. to every place that had a bad memory attached to it, to every school I walked through with bullies or hard friendships or personal struggles. I prayed. repented. cried. and let go. & now every time I go home to visit my parents, it’s with joy and excitement. I’m not who I was! All because I tasted a drink of LIVING WATER! He transformed me from dead to daughter!!! So I share this with you, to encourage you. you past doesn’t discount you today. who He created you to be. It’s a part of your testimony, but you can heal and walk in His fullness, confidently sharing the goodness of God with even those who hurt you. Crazy to believe, I know. But what’s even crazier is our Savior, choosing & loving us first, even at our worst. despite our lives, pasts & mistakes—He gives us an opportunity to choose Him for a resurrected way of living!!! where abundance, forgiveness, joy, mercy, & love flow!!!
