Dear Saints of Redeemer,

Happy Holy Trinity! This Sunday we confess our faith in the Words of the Athanasian Creed. A creed is simply a statement of belief. Creeds are wonderful treasures that direct our hearts and minds to what the scriptures proclaim. Even more so, creeds bring out the wonderful gift of faith that is worked in us. The Heavenly Father has created us. The Son has redeemed us. The Spirit comforts and sanctifies us. “We worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity, neither confusing the persons nor dividing the substance.” The Lord be with you all on this blessed day!

Dear Saints of Redeemer,

As Christ ascended, He promised the Spirit would come to the Disciples. Today we remember the coming of the Spirit. But what is the role of the Spirit? The Spirit works faith, He calls us by the Gospel. We who of many nations and tongues are brought into the Church. He gathers and teaches us the Words of Christ. The Spirit takes what is Christ’s that is forgiveness and gives them to us.

Dear Saints of Redeemer,

Good morning, for 40 days Christ our Lord walked and appeared to His disciples. When you think about Christ’s ascension what do you typically think of? Christ did not ascend to abandon us, instead He ascended so that He would be present with us. He comes to us in the preaching of the Word. He comes to us by the sacraments.

Dear Saints of Redeemer,

Christ is risen from the dead, Alleluia. As our season of Easter is drawing to a close. We have a great series of texts. Overall, our texts this week focus on prayer. Our Lord is gracious and merciful. He delights to hear our prayers. Every day and week we come to Him with petitions for our loved ones. We go to Him in prayer to preserve us in the faith. Lord keep up steadfast in the faith.

Dear Saints of Redeemer,

Today we remember two great men in the church. James and Philip were both Apostles of our Lord. Philip even asked when they would be able to see the Father. Christ gives a great comfort for Philip and all the church. Whoever sees Christ also has the Father. In the coming years, Philip testified that Christ is the Lord in the flesh. He saw the risen Christ and proclaimed Christ crucified wherever he set his foot. We were foreigners and strangers to the saving Gospel. The Word of God is the good foundation of the church. Dear friends, be encouraged and strengthened in the faith to life everlasting.
