First Lavaca Kids

First Lavaca Kids FBC Lavaca Kids and Family is for anyone who is involved with Kids Church or who wants to stay informed about what is going on with the ministry.

This page is for kids and families at FBC Lavaca. The purpose is to inform parents about what is going on in the Kids Ministry as well as provide resources for discipling their children in the homes. We may have missed a couple of weeks, but we are back with KIDMIN MVPS!!

This week we are thankful for...
Sandy Taggart
Megan McGee
and Ryan & Whitney Borst

Sandy is one of our 3rd & 4th grade Sunday School teachers. She loves teaching kids about Jesus, and does it well. Sandy is a realtor! She loves serving in KidMin because "I love teaching kids about Jesus and helping them learn how awesome He is!"

Megan leads our K-2 Sunday School Class. During the year she is a 5th Grade teacher in Van Buren! She has a huge servant's heart and loves teaching kids about Jesus. She also loves her sweet dog Macho!! Megan is a joy and delight and our kids love having her as a teacher here at 1L. She is patient, kind, and understanding!

Ryan and Whitney Borst are our 4 yr old Sunday School Teachers! They are new to this role but stepped in with willing hearts and God has already used them in huge ways! They are such a blessing to our KidMin Team! During the day, Ryan works as Weld Shop Manager, and Whitney is a Hair Stylist. Ryan says, "I love having the chance to help grow the kids faith in Jesus. They are the best part of sunday morning!" Whitney says, "I love serving in kids ministry because getting to be a part of the start of these kids foundation in Christ is truly a gift.

What a testimony of God's goodness in these four leaders!!
Thank you to all of you for your faithfulness in serving, and love for the Next Generation!

Our Family Ministry Events this week are going to be so much fun! Kids will have fun Tuesday at Vertical Horizons, please RSVP to Emily! High School will meet for pickleball on Wednesday. We will end the week with Middle School headed to a Naturals Baseball game, must sign up with Jake to go!

We are doing a Missions Challenge this Summer in our 1L Kids Ministry! Each Sunday, kids are invited to bring their spare change for a Girls Vs. Boys Offering challenge. This Challenge will be added to our VBS offering in July!

Missions offering this year will be raised for Compassion International! For information on Compassion, go to Compassion.com!
