Laurens United Methodist Church Church family Laurens United Methodist Church has a full-time pastor, executive secretary, and custodian. Mission-giving is an important part of the church.

Church groups such as United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women, Bible study, Laurens Area Community Youth Group, puppet troop, and Sunday School meet regularly. Throughout the year, members share conversation and coffee in the Fellowship Hall before or after church services. The church is a physical location for special community projects in our small town such as Food Pantry, Christmas Festi

Sympathy is expressed to the Family of Rita Schmidt who passed away on June 15, 2026. Visitation is from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM at the Laurens United Methodist Church with the funeral to follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Laurens Cemetery immediately following services. Rita Ione Schmidt, born April 6, 1951, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on June 15, 2026. She was 75 years old.
