God’s Expectations….
He expects us to GLORIFY HIM.
Scripture:
Psalm 86:12 KJV I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Your Name forevermore.
Glorify means to cause to be or treat as being more splendid, excellent than would normally be considered. To honor with praise, admiration, or an act of worship.
Praise means to raise God up, exalt him, and honor him. Praise includes a respect for who God is. How can we praise God when we do not fully acknowledge who he is? We often think that thanking God is the same as praising him, it is not. When we thank him, it comes from what he has done for us. While our praise should come from WHO GOD IS.
And who exactly is God, Psalm 18:2 KJV says The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my Buckler, and the Horn of my Salvation, and my High Tower.
To Glorify God can only come from a heart full of love toward him. Don’t offer God an empty praise, give him the praise he deserves. The praise that comes from the personal relationship of accepting Jesus as your Savior.
