What a rough start to camp this week. We would like share some of the crazy behind the scenes hurdles staff faces durring camp in session.
To start we had freezer 1 go out the night before camp and we lost about $1000 worth of food😡. Last minute shopping was in order and supporting staff called in some favors to get a replacement. Kitchen staff adjusted well and was able to pull together some last minute meals with stock on hand without skipping a beat 👏. Then there was the refrigerator scare 😱 with temps climbing close to the danger zone, we were able to adjust the temp switch and all is well👏.
Then, multiple water outages throughout day one of camp 🤯. Maintenance was scrambling to restore water within minutes of each report followed by camp wide system flushes 😵‍💫 ... After the campers went to sleep a major seal in our booster pump at the Well house was replaced by the Facilities Manager and water was fully restored 😬. With one last camp wide system flush at 1am🥱 we are happy to report no further issues 👏
Meanwhile our campers are safe, happy and none the wiser to all the chaos that makes the camp magic happen.
This is a shout out to our amazing Facilities Manager and Supporting Staff that keeps camp going! We're half way through the season. Nothing can stop us. Let's finish strong 💪
