The Springs Church - Las Vegas, NV

The Springs Church - Las Vegas, NV We are a multicultural, multigenerational Christian Church located in northwest Las Vegas, NV. You are welcome here! Sunday Worship Service at 10am!

We're a multicultural, multigenerational Christian church located in northwest Las Vegas, NV. We desire to be the kind of church described in the Bible, where there’s relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. We’d like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. We believe that God has called us to be a place of spiritual refreshment and revival in the midst of a dry land. The promise we cling to is found in Isaiah 43:19, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." For purposes of connection and accountability, we're part of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and the Association of Related Churches (ARC).

What if the thing you’re afraid of doesn’t actually have the power you think it does?

Artificial intelligence. AGI. ASI. The future can raise a lot of questions—and a lot of fear.

But as Christians, our response to uncertainty shouldn’t be panic.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

We don’t have to pretend we know exactly what the future holds.

We can face what’s ahead with wisdom, discernment, and confidence in the One who does.

Technology may change.

God is still in control.

What does it actually mean to meet with God “face to face”?

Is it about physically seeing God—or is Scripture pointing us to something deeper?

There’s a difference between knowing about God and actually living in fellowship with Him.

God invites us into relationship with Him—into a place where we can seek Him, speak with Him, listen, and walk with Him.

What would change if you approached your relationship with God as something real and personal—not just something you know about?

How do you know you have eternal life?

Is it because you feel close to God?

Because you’ve been a Christian for a long time?

Because you go to church?

John gives us something much more solid to stand on: the testimony of God.

Our confidence isn’t supposed to rest on our feelings or circumstances. It rests on what God has said about His Son.

“Whoever has the Son has life.” — 1 John 5:12

You don’t have to live constantly wondering where you stand.

Know Jesus. Know the truth. And know where your confidence comes from.

What are you building your faith on?

It’s easy to say we believe in Jesus. But what happens when our faith is tested?

If we want to stand firm, we need to be anchored in God’s truth.

That means knowing Jesus, knowing His Word, and learning to recognize what is true.

Our faith isn’t meant to be built on feelings, opinions, or whatever happens to be popular around us.

Be anchored. Know the truth. Live it out.

That’s part of what it means to truly know Jesus.

TOMORROW, WE’RE BACK IN 1 JOHN.

What does it actually look like to know Jesus and live like you know Him?

We’re continuing our journey through 1 John as we dig deeper into what it means to walk in truth, recognize deception, and live with confidence in our faith.

If you’ve been with us through the series, come back ready to go deeper.

If you haven’t been with us yet, this is a great week to jump in.

What do you really know about the man who walked with Jesus?

John wasn’t just one of the twelve disciples. He was known as the disciple Jesus loved—and his life gives us a powerful picture of what it means to know Jesus personally.

John’s writings weren’t simply about giving people information. He wanted believers to know Jesus, know the truth, and live it out.

And that’s part of what makes 1 John so powerful.

Faith isn’t built on what we think we know.

It’s built on knowing Jesus.

So ask yourself:

Do I just know about Jesus—or am I actually growing in knowing Him?

What if the person sounding the most confident is actually leading you away from the truth?

False teaching doesn’t always sound obviously wrong.

Sometimes it sounds convincing.
Sometimes it sounds confident.
Sometimes it even uses words that sound spiritual.

That’s why confidence isn’t the same thing as truth.

We’re called to know the truth, test what we hear, and measure it against God’s Word.

Don’t just ask, “Does this sound right?”

Ask, “Is this true?”

1 John reminds us that knowing Jesus means knowing the truth—and being careful not to be deceived.

Know the truth. Test what you hear. Don’t be deceived.

Was Jesus just a good teacher—or is He actually God?

That’s one of the most important questions anyone can ask.

Jesus wasn’t simply a man with good advice or a teacher with some inspiring things to say. Scripture presents something far greater: God entering into humanity.

John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.”

If Jesus really is who He claimed to be, then He isn’t someone we can simply admire from a distance.

The question isn’t only “Who was Jesus?”

It’s “Who is Jesus to you?”

What if knowing Jesus changes the way you see yourself?

It’s easy to be deceived—not only about what we believe, but about who we are, where we stand, and whether our lives actually reflect the truth of Jesus.

That’s why knowing Jesus matters.

The more we know Him, the more we understand the truth about ourselves.

1 John reminds us that we can know—not simply hope, guess, or assume—that we have eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Know Jesus. Know the truth. Know where you stand.

Are you building your confidence on what you feel—or on what God says?
