💡 Pensamiento central
English:
Faith in God helps us overcome fear and face difficult situations with confidence.

🦁 Overcoming Fear — David and Goliath
📖 Bible Reading
1 Samuel 16–17
💡 Main Thought
Faith in God helps us overcome fear and face difficult situations with confidence.
The Story
The people of Israel were fighting against the Philistines. The Philistines had a giant soldier named Goliath. Every day, Goliath challenged the army of Israel, and the soldiers were very afraid because he was big and strong.
David came to the camp to bring food to his brothers. When he heard Goliath making fun of God's people, David did not allow fear to control him.
David remembered how God had helped him before when he was taking care of his father's sheep.
David knew that he could not defeat Goliath with his own strength. So, he trusted God.
David did not use the soldier's armor. Instead, he took his sling and five smooth stones from the stream.
David faced Goliath and said that he came in the name of the Lord. David used his sling and one stone, and Goliath fell down.
⭐ What do we learn?
David teaches us that:
We should not let fear control us.
We can trust God when we have problems.
We should remember how God has helped us before.
We do not have to be the strongest or biggest person to do what is right.
God can help us face things that seem impossible.
❤️ Applying the lesson to our lives
Sometimes children feel afraid because of problems at school, difficulties with friends, new situations, or things that seem too hard.
When we feel afraid, we can remember:
“God is bigger than my problem.”
We can pray, trust God, listen to good advice, stay calm, and act with faith.
