We remember. LVWC CARES.

🕊️ OCTOBER 1 — WE REMEMBER. 🕊️

Today, we remember the precious lives lost on October 1, 2017, and we hold close the families, survivors, first responders, and all who still carry the pain of that night.

We mourn because we loved. But as believers, we do not sorrow as those which have no hope.

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:14 KJV

Our hope is Jesus Christ. Our hope is the Gospel. Our hope is the resurrection.

For those who die in Christ, death is not the end. There is coming a day when “the dead in Christ shall rise” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

So today, we remember. We pray for those left behind. We hold fast to the faith of the Gospel—and we look forward to that great reunion in the presence of our Lord.

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
