This Sunday the 23rd, Rev. Bram Watkins will present Fear or Faith...You Choose.

Here is what Religious Science and the teachings of Ernest Holmes say about The Metaphysical Nature of Fear: Fear is never treated as a legitimate God-created reality. Instead, it is understood as a profound mental misconception—an inverted faith. While traditional theology often treats fear with moral admonitions, Science of Mind approaches fear scientifically and psychologically as the misuse of our creative thought power. Fear is faith in lack, limitation, and operating against the fundamental spiritual law that Mind is infinite Good.

Let's explore our fear and path to faith this Sunday!

Hello, beautiful community,

This month, we’ve been talking about fear, anger, and faith—and our complicated relationship with all three. I hope you’ve found some useful nuggets along the way: something that helped you understand yourself a little better, respond differently in a difficult moment, or apply these ideas practically in your own life.

Fear often wants certainty. It wants to know what will happen, how everything will unfold, and whether we will be okay before we take another step. But life rarely gives us that kind of assurance. So what do we do when the way forward matters deeply to us, but we simply cannot know where it will lead?

This Sunday, we’ll explore **Walking Without Certainty**. We’ll consider what it means to listen to fear without allowing it to choose our direction—and how faith can help us continue even when we cannot see the whole path ahead.

I look forward to being with you on Sunday.

With love,
Rev. Yvette

Reverend Bonnie felt the call to ministry when she was in High School back in the 70’s. She attended Grinnell College where she double majored in religion and psychology graduating with a BA (1980). Reverend Bonnie then became a certified in American Sign Language interpreter, and has been serving the deaf community for over 30 years.

Rev Bonnie found her home in Religious Science in 2000 when she walked into the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living. She moved to Las Cruces in 2006 as she started her last year at the Holmes Institute with the goal of becoming a Community Spiritual Leader in some capacity through the Centers for Spiritual Living. She received her MA in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute in 2007. Presently she is an ordained Religious Science minister and Practitioner, and in the spring of 2013 began serving at the CSL in the Heart of Las Cruces, first as Interim, and then as the Permanent Community Spiritual Leader in November 2014.

Rev. Bonnie believes that uplifting our consciousness uplifts and changes our lives. You can meet with her for personal spiritual counseling, pastoral care, or to gain a deeper understanding of these teachings by making an appointment. Rev. Bonnie and the Center are also available to serve you in celebrating life events such as weddings, & memorials, etc. In addition, she is also fluent in American Sign Language.
