Calvary Bible Church Lapeer Calvary Bible Church of Lapeer, Michigan emphasizes dynamic Bible preaching and excellence in worship. Please join us at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

We are located at 923 S. Main Street in Lapeer. Calvary Bible Church began in 1840 as a Methodist Protestant church with meetings at the old courthouse. In 1896 the congregation moved into their new building at 803 Liberty Street. In 1926 the church aired its first radio program on its new radio station, WMPC. In 1939 the Lapeer congregation separated from the Methodist Protestant Churches and was

organized as an independent church known as the Liberty Street Gospel Church. In 1968 they moved to a new building on Main Street, and the name was changed to Calvary Bible Church. It remains an independent church.
