Delta Township is proud to kick off the Juneteenth holiday with a celebration of unity, culture, history, and community!

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Sharp Park for the Delta Township Juneteenth Unity Fest—an evening filled with live music, inspiring speakers, art, food, fellowship, and opportunities to reflect on the significance of freedom and the rich contributions of African Americans to our nation and community.

Enjoy performances by the acclaimed Root Doctor, the soulful sounds of Twyla Birdsong, powerful storytelling from Dr. Maxine Hankins Cain, artwork by Julian VanDyke, a Juneteenth History Walk, food trucks, community organizations, and so much more.

And when the festival winds down, the celebration continues!

🌟 Join us for the Official Delta Township Juneteenth After Glow from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM at The Venue by Eleven Eleven Events, just down the street from Sharp Park. Gather with friends old and new for music, bites, drinks, and community as we continue celebrating freedom, resilience, and togetherness.

This is a wonderful way to begin the Juneteenth season right here in Delta Township, and we encourage everyone to support the many outstanding Juneteenth events taking place throughout the Lansing region.

Registration is now open for our FREE Summer Youth Program designed to empower, educate, and inspire young people ages 10-18!

This exciting six-week program will provide life-changing opportunities for youth to develop essential life skills, build confidence, strengthen character, learn financial literacy, explore entrepreneurship, understand social media and AI, develop conflict resolution skills, and much more.

In Loving Memory of Lawrence Hinton

It is with heartfelt reverence that we acknowledge the transition of Lawrence Hinton, a man who truly loved the Lord and used his God-given voice to lift praises in honor of Him. His gospel singing was not just heard—it was felt. Every note carried spirit, every song carried testimony.

He leaves behind a legacy of worship, faith, and devotion that will continue to echo in the hearts of all who were blessed to hear him.

We extend our prayers, love, and deepest condolences to the Hinton family during this time. May God’s peace surround you and His promises comfort you.

New Mount Calvary Family,

It is with heavy hearts, yet unwavering faith, that we share the homegoing of our beloved brother and servant of the Lord, Pastor Joe C. Rush.

Pastor Rush lived a life of purpose, faithfully answering the call of God and pouring into the lives of so many. His legacy of service, leadership, and love for God’s people will continue to echo through generations.

We ask that you join us in lifting up Sister Linda Rush, their family, and the entire New Faith Missionary Baptist Church family in your prayers during this season of loss. Let us surround them with the comfort, strength, and peace that only God can provide.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held:

As we honor Pastor Rush’s life, we are reminded of God’s promise:
