Fr. Jeffery Walker currently serves as pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Spencerville, St. John the Evangelist Parish in Delphos, and St. John the Baptist Parish in Landeck.
A native of Custar, Ohio, Fr. Walker’s path to the priesthood began close to home. After attending school in Bowling Green and studying at Bowling Green State University, he became increasingly involved in Catholic campus ministry and discerned a call to serve Christ and His Church as a priest.
His formation eventually took him far beyond northwest Ohio. Fr. Walker completed his undergraduate studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, affiliated with Loyola University Chicago, before continuing his theological studies in Rome. There he earned advanced degrees from the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical Athenaeum of St. Anselm—two of the Church’s most respected institutions of higher learning.
Ordained to the priesthood on June 22, 2013, the Feast of St. Thomas More, Fr. Walker has served the Diocese of Toledo for more than a decade. His assignments have included St. Rose Parish in Perrysburg, parishes in the Sandusky area, and St. Thomas More University Parish at Bowling Green State University, where he ministered to college students while helping guide them in their own journeys of faith.
Today, he brings that experience to Delphos, Landeck, and Spencerville, serving three parishes and the families who call them home.
From Custar to Rome and back again, Fr. Walker’s story reflects a priesthood rooted in northwest Ohio, strengthened through years of study, and dedicated to serving the people of God.
