Today is Foundation Day for the Sisters of Christian Charity! Blessed Pauline started the order 177 years ago today. Ever since then, the Sisters have been giving Christ’s love to everyone in cheerful, whole-hearted service. Thank God for their presence in our parishes and may God bless them with an abundance of new vocations!

Twenty years ago today, on July 26, 2006, Bishop Daniel E. Thomas was ordained to the episcopacy by Cardinal Justin Rigali after being appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia by Pope Benedict XVI.

Today, we give thanks for his 20 years of faithful episcopal ministry and ask God to continue to bless him in his service to the Diocese of Toledo.
