What is God worth to you? That question cuts straight to the heart of what worship really is. It is not just the songs we sing on Sunday morning. It is the response of our entire lives to the worth of who God is.

In Malachi chapter 1, God confronted His people for offering their leftovers while saving their best for everything else. The warning is just as real for us today. We can fill our schedules with religious activity and still lose the very heart of worship.

The good news is that the great King we have neglected did not leave us in our sin. He sent His Son to be the perfect sacrifice we could never offer. Because of Jesus, our whole lives become an act of worship rooted in grace, not guilt. As Romans 12:1 reminds us, we present our lives to God in view of His mercies, not to earn His love, but because we have already received it.

What is God worth to you?

We all worship something. The question isn’t whether we worship, but what our lives reveal about what we treasure most.

In Malachi 1:6–14, God confronts His people for going through the motions of worship while their hearts have grown distant from Him.

Worship isn’t measured by how loudly we sing, but by how completely we surrender.

This Sunday at New Horizon, we’ll discover why Jesus is worthy of more than our Sunday mornings. He’s worthy of our whole lives.

"I have loved you," says the Lord. Those four words open the book of Malachi, and they are the foundation of everything. Not a rebuke. Not a list of failures. Just a declaration of love from a God who never stopped pursuing his people.

Israel stood in the very land God had restored to them and still asked, "How have you loved us?" Sound familiar? We do the same thing. We enjoy his daily mercies, his forgiveness, his grace, and still quietly wonder what God has done for us lately.

God's answer then is the same as his answer now. He points us to the cross. Romans 5:8 reminds us that God proved his love by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. You did not find God. He found you.

Join us as we journey through Malachi and rediscover what it means to be loved by a God who never lets go.

This Sunday, we’re continuing our journey through the Minor Prophets as we begin a new series through the book of Malachi!

Pastor B will be opening God’s Word to Malachi 1:1–5, where we’ll be reminded of God’s faithful, covenant love for His people.

Though Malachi was written centuries ago, its message still speaks powerfully to the church today. God calls His people to remember His love, examine their hearts, and respond to Him with genuine worship and faithfulness.

The story ends in victory. Knowing that changes everything about how we live today. Zechariah 13-14 gives us one of the clearest pictures in the Old Testament of God's ultimate triumph -- a day when evil is removed, the Shepherd is vindicated, and the Lord reigns over all the earth.

Because Christ was struck in our place (Zechariah 13:7), we now have guaranteed access to the Father. The God who declares "they are my people" never ignores the cries of His children. His ears are always open.

When defeat seems inevitable, remember that Jesus is the game changer. History is not moving toward chaos -- it is moving toward Christ. The King is coming, and because He wins, we can live with hope, faithfulness, and confidence today.

Do not judge God's faithfulness by today's circumstances. Judge it by His promises.

Everything in your life should line up around Jesus!

Every day, voices compete for your attention -- culture, social media, politics, your own desires. But here is the truth that changes everything: the direction of your life is determined by the shepherd that you follow.

In Zechariah 10 and 11, God confronts false shepherds who used and destroyed the sheep, while pointing us toward the one shepherd who is different from all the rest. Jesus said it plainly in John 10:11 -- the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. Thirty pieces of silver is what they valued him at. Yet he considered his sheep worth dying for.

The question this morning is not whether you are following a shepherd. You are following someone. The question is which shepherd has your heart. Every other shepherd will eventually fail you. Jesus never will.

If you have wandered, his voice is still calling you home.

“The direction of your life is determined by the shepherd that you follow.”

We all follow something. The question is whether the voice guiding us belongs to the Good Shepherd. Jesus doesn’t just show us a better path; He calls us to follow Him.
