The stress of everyday life can make our problems feel bigger than they really are, but we were never meant to carry those burdens alone. We can lean on God and trust Him to carry what is weighing us down.
Philippians 4:6 reminds us: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
Nothing is too small, too big, too insignificant, or too overwhelming for God. If it matters to you, it matters to Him.
Pray about everything. Pray through everything. Tell God what you need, and don’t forget to thank Him for all He has already done, and even thank Him in advance for what He is going to do.
When we lay our worries at His feet, we make room for His peace to take their place. We don’t have to be controlled by stress when we can stand firmly in the peace of God.
The burdens we were never meant to carry are the very burdens He promised to carry for us. He demonstrated that love when He bled and died for us.
So this week, when stress begins to speak louder than God’s promises, silence the stress and turn your heart toward Him.

Last week during Midweek Bible Study, we continued learning about hearing the voice of God and asked an important question: Am I positioning myself to hear His voice?

God is always speaking, but are we listening?

John 10:3-4 says, “The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.”

What a beautiful picture of our relationship with God. He calls us by name. He leads us. We recognize His voice. And we follow.

God still speaks today. Don’t let the enemy convince you that God doesn’t want to speak to you, or that you’re too far from Him to hear His voice. You are never too far for God to call you.

Sometimes what He asks of us may not make sense. Sometimes following His voice requires faith before we see the outcome. But the question is: Will you respond? Will you trust Him? Will you follow what the Lord is saying?

He calls. We recognize. We follow.

Stress can be so loud.

But be reminded today: The situation is not bigger than your God.

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us to bring everything to God in prayer—and when we do, His peace guards our hearts and minds.

You don’t have to carry what God has invited you to surrender.

Silence the stress.
Surrender the worry.
Listen for His voice.
Stand in His peace.

Whatever is stressing you today, remember: God is bigger.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
