Last night was an honor.
To the graduating class of DCLA- thank you for letting me speak into this moment of your lives. As I stood there last night looking at each of you, I couldn’t help but think about how fast life moves. One minute you’re trying to survive assignments, practices, friendships, stress, and figuring out who you are… and the next minute you’re standing at the edge of a brand new chapter.
But I hope you remember this:
You do not need to have your whole life figured out right now.
The pressure of this world will try to convince you that you need the perfect plan, the perfect career path, the perfect image, the perfect future. But the truth is this… more important than having a perfect plan is having an anchor.
And that anchor is Christ.
When the map runs out… when life gets confusing… when plans fail… when you feel lost… when success still somehow feels empty… Jesus remains.
Do not build your life only on achievement, popularity, money, relationships, or ambition. Those things can disappear quicker than you think. Build your life on something eternal. Build it on Christ.
I truly believe the message last night was bigger than a ceremony or a speech. I believe it was a reminder that God is calling each of you toward something deeper than just success… He’s calling you to Himself.
I’m proud of each of you. I’m praying for each of you. And I hope years from now you still remember this simple truth:
When the map runs out… God never does.
Congratulations Class of 2026. Keep chasing Christ.
