Hope for out Tomorrow:

A Heavenly Inheritance
1 Peter 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,


When we stop and think about it we are reminded that nothing in this life lasts forever. Everything seems to fade away as do the days of our own lives.
However, Peter’s Holy Spirit inspired writings brings a bright hope into our fading world. And these words are eternal promises to us. They apply to those who are saved, born again or as he worded it “begotten again” to a living hope. And all because of God’s Abundant Mercy.
Hope is mentioned over 200 times in the Bible and most of those are aimed at an eternal hope. In those cases it is said the biblical hope points us to
“the joyful expectation of the glories to come.”
In this world hope itself is fading away. But God’s promises, sealed by Jesus’ Blood, are forever. And the beautiful life we are heading into is a far greater life that will never fade.

Jesus Loves you! Accept His gift of life today. Amen? Amen!

Lam. 3:22-23

Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Every morning standing at the sink making coffee I see hanging in the window the little reminder of God’s faithful mercies.

We sing “Amazing Grace” and it surely is but because of that grace we can also say “so is His Mercy.”
None deserve it, none can earn it, none are due it. It only comes because every day regardless He loves us.

God is LOVE and because of His love we see and experience His mercy.

“Great is Thy faithfulness Lord unto to me.”

Hope this reminder can brighten your day, every day.

Hello everyone,
This is a heads up for everyone who has loved ones in the Clear Creek Baptist Cemetery, or are planning to bury loved ones there.

In a January 2016 business meeting the church voted and passed new cemetery rules which we have not been enforcing in full.
These rules have been posted at the edge of the cemetery since 2016 but some have failed to follow them.
So as a heads up, we are now working to begin to fall in line with those rules.
We have a copy available if anyone needs a copy to have in their possession.

At present the biggest issue is that everyone knows there can be no items on or in the ground (flowers, lights, metal or none metal poles or crosses…etc) that can hinder or slow the grounds keeping.
Items can only be placed on the headstones but nothing on the ground or stuck in the ground.
We are asking that if there are any items like that on your loved ones grave site that they please be removed right away.
Other information about the regulations can be found within the posted rules in the wooden box at the edge of the parking lot.

How important is it that we familiarize ourselves with the truth of the Bible?

Earlier this morning I was reading in Acts 17:10-12 where Paul preached the Word to those in the synagogue at Berea. And those who heard it examined the Scriptures daily to be sure the message Paul preached was true.
Also this morning a visitor came up my driveway to proclaim a message that was not true. For his message contained false content where man had tainted the Scripture by adding to it.
Kinda like adding a little poison to the pudding. His message contained the sweetness of the Bible but was contaminated with poisonous words that were not in the Scripture. Man made gospel that was close enough to truth to lure the mind of some to accept it. Much like Satan did to Eve. Twisting and adding to sway the heart.
The Bereans tested Paul’s message by comparing it to what God actually said in the Scriptures. Those who received and believed Paul’s message received Jesus, and are now in Heaven, waiting for today’s Christians who also received Jesus.

It’s best to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I gave this morning’s visitor a response found in
2 John 1:10-11 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, (the true teachings of Jesus) do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

I politely waved him to turn around and leave. But as he was pulling away a prayed for him, that he would find the truth of scripture and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Let’s continue to examine the Scriptures daily that we would be so familiar with the truth that we would recognize a lie the moment we hear it.
