Mile High Bible Institute and SO LOVED Fellowship mourn the passing of Marilyn Hickey.

My mom was her hair stylist in the late 60’s. Before she died she told me that Marilyn was always trying to get her to go to the Happy Church on S. Platte River Drive and that she was always nice to mom.

27 years later I would move Mile High Bible Institute (which is now SO LOVED) into the chapel downstairs at the old Happy Church (which at that time was Rocky Mountain Church of God, which rented to us). At around that time all of us Pastors in the city would meet together every Thursday at Orchard Road Christian Center and the Awake America Revival meetings with Memories of Steve Hill, Pastor Kilpatrick and the team from Brownsville would hold revivals there. It was there that I first met Doug Stringer, Darlene Zschech and many others. I bet Marilyn never knew the son of her hair dresser would one day begin a church in that place on South Platte. Thanks Marilyn for your love and generosity. And no doubt the prayers over my mom. Thanks for trying to reach her. Now rest in the Lord.
