St. Mary's Episcopal Church

St. Mary's Episcopal Church Following Christ and Making Disciples Wherever you are on the spiritual journey there is a place for you at St. Mary’s.

We offer meaningful worship, enriching experiences of Christian education for all ages, and opportunities to encounter Christ through acts of compassion and outreach. Through all of this we become mindful of the nurturing love of God, which shapes not only our identity and morals, but also influences our vision of the world and our place in it. Whether you are a casual visitor, someone seeking a spiritual home, or a member of the congregation, we're here for you.

St Mary's continues to support the Emergency Food Network. Today we volunteered to repack part of the food that was collected by the mail carriers food drive in May. We repacked 4,450 pounds of donated items! The oldest item donated was a container of Quaker Grits with a price stamped 27¢ which probably dates to the 1970's per a web search! We removed any item that was out of date.

We celebrate Pentecost by wearing red! The children helped with the entrance procession and the ending procession. Wonderful music with lots of bells, including everyone being invited to play a bell or two before taking communion. All of the musicians were recognized for their service this year.

St. Mary’s Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry for St. Mary’s Church is coordinated by the St. Mary’s Daughters of the King Chapter.

Everyone is invited to be a part of this prayerful and loving ministry.

The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, the prayer shawls are blessed at the altar before the shawl is sent on its way.

Prayer Shawl & Prayer Square (mini-prayer shawl) patterns and prayer cards are available on the resource table in the church narthex. Free yarn is also available for any of your charitable creations and is also located in the narthex. Please take what you can use.

Prayer Shawls can be used during an illness and recovery; ministering to others; military service, graduation, birthdays, birth of a child or ordination...the possibilities are endless!

If you know of someone in need of a Prayer Shawl/Square or would like to donate a prayer shawl/square, please contact Linda Soper or Fr. Wesley Evans.

Lovely spring day at St Mary's with music that started with Morning has Broken and continued with All Things Bright and Beautiful, before closing the service with Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee. A fabulous Mother's Day coffee hour was provided by the "New Kidz" our newest members. Folks brought in photos of their moms to display.
