A WORD FROM THE PULPIT:

THOUGHT FOR THIS EVENING (2 Corinthians 4:10)

"THE HABIT OF ENJOYING THE DISAGREEABLE"
Happy Tuesday my FB family & friends. As Christians, we have to form habits to express what God's grace has done in us.

It is not a question of being saved from hell, but of being saved in order to manifest the life of the Son of God in our mortal flesh, and it is the disagreeable things which make us exhibit whether or not we are manifesting His life.

Do I manifest the essential sweetness of the Son of God, or the essential irritation of "myself" apart from Him?

The only thing that will enable me to enjoy the disagreeable is the keen enthusiasm of letting the life of the Son of God manifest itself in me.

No matter how disagreeable a thing may be, say "Lord, I am delighted to obey Thee in this matter," and instantly the Son of God will press to the front, and there will be manifested in my human life that which glorifies Jesus.

FB friends, there must be no debate. The moment you obey the light, the Son of God presses through you in that particular; but if you debate you grieve the Spirit of God.

You must keep yourself fit to let the life of the Son of God be manifested, and you cannot keep yourself fit if you give way to self pity.

Our circumstances are the means of manifesting how wonderfully perfect and extraordinarily pure the Son of God is.

The thing that ought to make the heart beat is a new way of manifesting the Son of God. It is one thing to choose the disagreeable, and another thing to go into the disagreeable by God's engineering.

If God puts you there, He is amply sufficient. Keep your soul fit to manifest the life of the Son of God. Never live on memories; let the word of God be always living and active in you.

Good evening to you all, and to all a blessed night. Much love always!

A WORD FROM THE PULPIT:

THOUGHT FOR THIS EVENING (Psalm 40:1-3)

"GOD CAN DO IT"
Happy Wednesday my FB family & friends. To those of you who haven't done so, I am deeply concerned about you.

Will you surrender your heart to a loving Savior? Will you take your first step to Him? When you come to Him, will you place your sorrow, your brokenness, and your pain fully into God's loving hand?

I promise you, God will transform your pain through the power of His Holy Spirit, the very power that raised Jesus from the dead.

If you surrender your heart to the Lord, He will bring His comfort and mercy to the places where you have suffered pain and hurt.

Whether your pain is from today, yesterday, ten years, or a lifetime ago, the Lord is waiting to come in and heal you.

Know, my FB friends, that God will not force His way; He wants your permission.

You do not have to be afraid. Open all your hurting places, even the ugly and wounded parts of your heart. He knows them anyway.

You may have tried to push past your painful memories or push them down deep into your heart and believe they are gone.

But they will return. They will force their way back up and cause pain again and again and again. Believe me, I know.

No drugs, no therapy, and no body, regardless of how well trained or well intentioned, can bring the full and complete healing that comes in the name of Jesus Christ.

FB friends, if you give yourself to Christ, you will find that He is holding the broken pieces of your heart in His hands, and He will bring them all together, He will hold them tenderly until He has brought a wholeness or a oneness to what was many pieces.

God heals, mends, rebuilds, and restores. I urge you, my FB friends, to surrender your hurting places to God, you will hear His voice speaking to you.

Be persistent. Dig into His Word. Pray with all your heart. Stay in His presence. Enough for tonight. Good evening to you all, and to all a blessed night. Much love always!

A WORD FROM THE PULPIT:

THOUGHT FOR THIS EVENING (Philippians 4:13)

"YOU CAN DO MORE THAN YOU THINK"
Happy Sunday my FB family & friends. On yesterday the question was asked, "Is Jesus enough for the problems of life?"

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes, and the saints across the ages says the same.

Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paul never says, "Jesus will get you out of trouble," but he does say, "Jesus will never leave us."

FB friends, you can do all things if you rely on Jesus Christ. Not in your own strength, not in your own wisdom, and not in your own ability to figure things out.

But if you say, "Lord Jesus, I'm relying on you," you can do all things through Christ.

Answer #4 tells us that: "You Can If You Start Today and Don't Look Back.

This is the principle of personal Choice. FB friends, which way are you going in life? Your answer makes all the difference.

Many people live in the past, they worry about the past, and fret over the past.

Forget it! It's over, done, gone, finished. You can't go back even if you wanted to. Remember the first rule of spiritual progress:

I can't go back. I can't stay here. I must go forward. There is no "Reverse" gear in the spiritual life.

The river of God's purpose flows only in one direction, forward! Enough for tonight. To be continued. Good evening to you all, and to all a blessed night. Much love always!

A WORD FROM THE PULPIT:

THOUGHT FOR THIS EVENING (Philippians 4:13)

"YOU CAN DO MORE THAN YOU THINK"
Happy Saturday my FB family & friends. It takes more than positive thinking. You've got to have Jesus Christ on the inside.

Are we who believe better than other people? No. Are we stronger? No. Does God give us a free pass so that what happens to others doesn't happen to us? No. Are we exempt from the Coronavirus? No.

You and me, we suffer heartache and disappointment just like anyone else in the world. We endure suffering, sadness, and opposition.

We weep because we live in a fallen world. All that anyone else suffers, we suffer too.

What is it that makes the difference? Only one thing: Jesus Christ within. We have the power of the indwelling Christ who strengthens us.

Paul addressed this in another famous passage: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"

FB friends, all these things happen to the children of God, but they cannot separate us from Jesus Christ.

We are bound to him by cords of love that nothing on earth can sever.

Is Jesus enough for the problems of life? You hold that thought, and we'll get to you tomorrow evening. You have a blessed night. Much love always!
