I'm starting to hear rumors of several members inviting folks to the service this Sunday. Sounds like we have a potential for a packed house! We only have a few days left to invite people to the Pack-a-pew service. For some visitors, this Sunday could be the only message they hear. Not to mention, it will be followed by good food and great music! Don't miss the opportunity be a part of this Sunday's service and bring a few with you!

COME JOIN US! this Sunday, the 13th, as we try to pack the church house with as many folks as possible! The service will begin at 11AM as usual. The service will immediately be followed by a potluck dinner, then followed by special music by some of our own members and a few visitors.

STOP!!! WHERE IS YOUR HEART?!

Matthew 6:20-21 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

What is it that you treasure? What is the majority of your focus on throughout the week? What is it that you find joy in. What do you spend most of your time on.

God created the heavens and the earth and every living thing in it. He created those things for us, but not as a replacement for Him. Often we find ourselves caught up in the hustle and bustle of day to day life that can cause us to lose our focus. Have you ever caught yourself making an excuse for or justifying the things you spend your time on? I have.

Satan doesn't have get us to deny God, he only has to distract us just long enough to lose focus. What is it that distracts you? Is it work...your kids...social media...your pets...travel...sports....addiction? Maybe your just comfortable staying in your own quiet little space where you hope God doesn't notice you?

Distraction can take many forms. Many times we don't even realize that we have gotten off the path he designed for us. The further we get away from God, the easier it is to ignore His calling. Then we make excuses as to why we can't get back to where we were. Something like, "I've just went too far", or "I'm too old to change now" or "I'm just dealing with too much right now", or "I've just got too much going on". Sound familiar?

The God that created you, that knew you before you were in the womb, that loved you and gave His Son Christ to die for a sin debt that we could never pay, that offered you the grace and mercy of Salvation from an eternal Hell, loves you and is always one prayer away. Just like you would do anything to help your own children, Christ loves you and has already done so much more for you.

So where is your treasure? What do you do throughout the week outside of church? What about your Husband, your wife, your kids? Is Christ and His ministry, His design, His will the driving force in your lives?, or is He just allowed to tag along for the ride? Where is your heart?

This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
