Wow! What an historic moment.

I was so very, very honored to have served on the General Conference Doctrine and Sacraments Legislative Committee which perfected the language of our Articles of Faith drawn from the Methodist Articles of Religion and the EUB Confession of Faith.

A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE GLOBAL METHODIST CHURCH ✨

With overwhelming support, the 2026 General Conference has OFFICIALLY ADOPTED the Articles of Faith, affirming our Wesleyan heritage and establishing a shared expression of the faith that unites us in Jesus Christ.

Together, these Articles speak to who we are, what we believe, and the faith we carry forward as one global connection.

May we hold fast to this faith, walk together in the power of the Holy Spirit, and faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ to a world in need of His grace. 🙏🌍

I am absolutely thrilled by the election of my friend, Bishop-elect Paul Lawler, who will become the next Bishop of the North Georgia Annual Conference!

While I knew him by reputation, over the last two years I have met with him every other Monday morning with the Global Connectional Council and spent time with him in person on four separate occasions. Bishop-elect Lawler is a gifted communicator, a strategic thinker, and very gracious, very smart, and very much involved in hands-on world missions.

Please join me in praying for Paul and Missy as they begin their ministry among us. ✝️

David knew what it meant to face battles that seemed bigger than he was. He faced giants, armies, betrayal, fear, and seasons when the way forward was anything but clear. Yet the strength of David’s life was never simply David’s strength. It was the presence of God.

Long before David’s victories, Moses gave Israel a promise that would echo throughout David’s life: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid…for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). That same promise belongs to God’s people today!

Whatever battle stands before you, you do not enter it alone. The Lord goes before you. He is with you. He will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

David discovered that victory did not depend on having the biggest army, the best weapons, or even knowing how everything would turn out. It depended on trusting the God who was already there.

So when the battle feels too big, remember: you do not need to be stronger than what you are facing. You simply need to trust the One who is. Be strong. Be courageous. Keep going. God is with you—and God is enough!

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing congregation, boys and girls around the world will receive a tangible expression of God's immense love through 150 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes filled with gifts. For many, they will receive their first gift ever! Thank you, Wesley Family, for WITNESSING BOLDLY, under the direction of our Shoebox Captain Laura!
