Church on the Hooch Church on the Hooch — your laid-back, lakeside worship service built for boaters, wanderers, and everyone who feels closest to God in creation.

Join us this summer, Sundays at 10am, June 7 – July 26 at Pyne Road Park’s Mega Boat Ramp on West Point Lake. Directions to Church on the Hooch

From the Lake

Turn left out of Highland Marina and Church on the Hooch is on the right side of the river between the # 51 and # 49 Green buoys. Look for the Cross
From the West side of town
Go out Roanoke Road and past Pyne Road Park over the river. Af

ter the Whitetail Pub Turn Right on Rock Mills Road
Several miles on the right turn right on Antioch Road ( there will be a Boy Scout Sign)
Go almost to the end of Antioch Road and turn right into the Boy Scout Camp
Please obey the 15 MPH speed limit while in the camp
Stay to the right and follow that road all the way into camp and then just past the pool turn left
Go to the end and turn right into Church on the Hooch. From the East Side of town
Go out Moody Bridge Road past Wares Cross Roads after you go over the bridge
Turn left onto Lovic Davis Road
Go a few miles and turn left onto Garrett Road
At the end of Garrett turn left onto Liberty Hill Road
Liberty Hill will intersect with Antioch Road
Turn Left onto Antioch
Go almost to the end of Antioch Road and turn right into the Boy Scout Camp
Please obey the 15 MPH speed limit while in camp

Year 14 of Church on the ‘H***h ended with a splash. I’ve watched the video of me jumping into the lake. I think I’ll take the next year to work on my form.

Whether you joined us “by land or by sea”, we are glad you spent a portion of your summer with us worshipping God and enjoying the beauty of the earth.

We encourage you if you have a church home, to make regular worship part of your discipleship plan. If you do not have a home church and live in the LaGrange area, I would like to invite you to join with us at LaGrange First United Methodist Church as we “dive into” the future God has for us together as we minister to the community around us.

Rev. Thomas Martin is bringing the message.
Will Gray is back with the music.
And… word is, Rev. Thomas may make more than just a spiritual splash.

Come by land. Come by boat.
Come for one more chance this summer to meet God by the water.
