🙏On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, please join us in praying the archdiocesan prayer for vocations:

God our Father,
You call each of us
to use our gifts in the Body of Christ.

Inspire your people
with desire to know you,
the grace to understand your will,
and, with the strength of the Holy Spirit, the courage to respond
with love and freedom.

Send workers into your great harvest, so that the Gospel is preached, the poor
are served with love, the suffering are comforted,
and your people are strengthened by the sacraments.
Amen.

“Our Lady: Protectress of the Most Vulnerable”

“Look with mercy, O heavenly Father, upon the people who live with injustice, terror, disease, and death as their constant companions. Have mercy upon us. Help us to eliminate our cruelty to these our neighbors. Strengthen those who spend their lives establishing equal protection of the law and fair opportunities for all. And grant that every one of us may enjoy a fair portion of everything through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (BCP, 826)( edited)

This icon is for those who are the most vulnerable among us. The migrant, the refugee, the foreigner and “the other”. The children in Gaza and Palestine and those being targeted by I

We celebrate Earth Day today and remember that we are called to respect our environment and all the life on it. Our Catholic faith teaches us that we are stewards of all God’s creation.
In 2024, in response to Pope Francis’s encyclicals Laudato Si and its follow-up Laudato Deum, the Archdiocese of Seattle launched a Care for Creation ministry.
