Us one month later: still talking about Echo Camp like it happened yesterday. ☀️🥹

The songs are still getting sung.
The friendships are still growing.
The memories are still being shared.

And we're believing the seeds God planted in those three days are still taking root in the hearts of our kids.

What a gift it was to watch so many children learn more about Jesus, build friendships, and have the absolute time of their lives.

Some of the most important leadership happens in places that never make headlines.

A prayer before a decision.
A hard conversation.
A faithful step forward when the path isn't completely clear.

This Sunday, we were grateful to hear from guest speaker Pastor Brent Warren, who walked us through the life of Manoah in Judges 13 and reminded us that godly leadership isn't about having all the answers—it's about knowing where to go for wisdom.

Before he worried about what his son would become, Manoah asked God how to faithfully raise him.

As we celebrated Father's Day, we thanked God for the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and spiritual fathers who model that same kind of faithfulness.

The greatness of Manoah wasn't that he had all the answers. It was that he knew where to go to find them.

"Lord, teach us what to do with the people You've entrusted to us."

Happy Father's Day! 🫶

Today we're grateful for the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who lead, serve, sacrifice, encourage, and love so well.

Thank you for the ways you reflect God's heart through your presence, faithfulness, and care for others.

We know this day can bring a mix of emotions depending on your story, but wherever you find yourself today, we're thankful for the reminder that we have a good Heavenly Father who loves us perfectly.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day that remembers freedom, honors resilience, and recognizes an important part of our nation's story.

As followers of Jesus, we're reminded that every person is created in the image of God and carries inherent dignity, value, and purpose. We celebrate the diverse stories, cultures, and experiences that reflect the beauty of God's family.

Every person.
Made in God's image.
Deeply loved by Him.

Today, we give thanks for freedom, remember the journey that brought us here, and pray for greater unity, understanding, and hope in our communities.

What if prayer isn’t about getting more from God, but getting more of God?

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He didn’t say “My Father.” He said “Our Father.”

The God who created you isn’t distant. Through Jesus, you’re invited into relationship with Him as a loving Father.

And that’s the beauty of prayer. It’s not primarily about getting answers, provision, or outcomes. It’s about drawing near to the One who already knows you, loves you, and welcomes you into His presence.

Because sometimes what we need most isn’t what God can give us… it’s God Himself.

What we're pursuing says a lot about who we're becoming.

In a world chasing more influence, more success, and more attention, we want to be people who pursue Jesus above all else.

Jesus taught us to seek first the things that matter most.
That's not just how we pray.
It's how we want to live.

He's the source of our hope, the model for our lives, and the reason we're here in the first place.
Everything we're building is meant to point people toward Him and help them become more like Him.

That's the kind of pursuit that changes everything.

Sometimes God’s silence feels like distance.
But because of Jesus, we’re not praying from outside the door hoping God lets us in. We’re praying as sons and daughters who already have access to the Father.

So when the answer isn’t immediate, don’t lose heart.
Not every silence is abandonment.
Not every closed door is rejection.

God is still working.

Keep the fork. The best part may still be on the way.

Yesterday, one of our trailer tires went flat.

If you’ve ever helped set up on a Sunday morning, you know what that could’ve meant. Everything it takes to turn a school into a church for a few hours: every cable, every sign, every piece of equipment lives inside those trailers. One flat tire had every reason to unravel the morning.

Instead, people showed up. They carried, they hauled, they covered for each other, they figured it out. By the time the doors opened, you’d never have known anything went sideways.

That’s our Serve Team. And it’s the quiet miracle behind every single Sunday.

Here’s why it matters: we don’t serve to earn anything. We serve because we were served first. Jesus laid everything down for us, so now we get to lay a little down for each other. Setup, kids ministry, parking, coffee, almost none of it gets a spotlight, and that’s kind of the point. Faithfulness usually works that way.

Negley becomes a church each week not because of a trailer or because of the equipment but because of the people choose to serve like Jesus.

There’s a reason we exist in this city.

Not to build something for ourselves.
Not to create a name for ourselves.
Not to simply gather people in a room each week.

We believe Jesus changes lives.

He brings hope where there was hopelessness.
Purpose where there was confusion.
Joy where there was emptiness.

That’s why we want to love people well, make disciples, and point people to Jesus in everything we do.

Our vision is simple:
To be a church bringing great joy to our city.
Not just within the walls of a church building, but in homes, schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and throughout our community.

This is what we're building toward.
And by God's grace, we're believing the best is still ahead. 🤍
